The charity’s subscription members are invited to attend the 2015 AGM, to be held on Sunday 8 November. The meeting may be of particular interest to members wishing to express views on the charity’s policies and activities, and/or interested in working actively to influence and secure its future direction, including by becoming trustees.
The AGM will be held at the Holiday Inn, Woking, Surrey, GU21 8EW (Tel: 01483 221000) starting at 1100.
The principal items of business will be to receive the charity’s Annual report and accounts for 2014, to deal with members’ comments and questions, and to elect trustees for the forthcoming year. Other than electing trustees, AGMs cannot make executive or policy decisions, responsibility for which is vested in the trustees. In order to enable considered answers, it would be helpful if members attending with questions could submit them via the Secretary in advance.
The AGM will be immediately followed by a trustees’ meeting, which all trustees, including any new trustees elected at the AGM, would be entitled and expected to attend.
Members interested in attending, or who have any queries about the meetings or becoming a trustee, are asked to contact the charity’s Secretary, Joe Kirk, 01903 523206 / firstname.lastname@example.org . Full details and AGM papers will be sent in due course to those who indicate attendance.
