There follows an email sent to our GCWS volunteer Koula.
Good day dear Koula!
Here we are again, starting anew on our neutering journey. Attached you will find two pictures of our first procedure, for the second round of neuterings.
Her name is Cuba, she’s being fed by some friends who own a Thai Restaurant called “Toukta”. Very good food, very nice and kind people and of course, if you ever decide to pay them a visit you will see Cuba sitting patiently waiting for her treats.
Mariana and Toukta, my friend and her mom who own the restaurant, have been taking care of Cuba since she was a baby. Seeing her give birth season after season, losing weight to support her kittens, tortured by the constant pregnancies, motivated them to search for a way to neuter her. That’s when I came in.
Due to the help of your volunteers last year, I managed to gather some money during 2024 and purchase a cat trap. Which I then used to capture Cuba. She might be a good kitty, but she turned feral when I tried to touch her. So the trap came in very very handy.
I’d like to thank you all for your help and inform you that, I managed to hospitalize many strays that needed help since the costs of neutering were covered by your volunteers. 30 cats were neutered because of them and 15 more will be neutered now.
